analysis of a questionaire

we asked 10 people to complete our questionnaire. Each person we asked are in our target audience age of 16-24. We did this so we knew what our target audience expect from a horror film.

The results from the first questions are that the majority of people watched 0-5 horror movies last year. This shows that the market is very competitive and our target audience only see a select few a year.
The results from the second question showed the top answer was 'super' scared. This shows we need to add everything possible to make our horror movie as scary as it can be to draw a wider audience.

The third question shows 'supernatural' and 'dolls' to be the 'what scares you'. Our films is including both sub genres which means we are directly using our audiences input into our films.
The film with the most votes was '28 days later'. This has a sub genre of possibly gore or terror which our film doesn't include. Gore doesn't bind well with the supernatural and we have gone with our initial idea of the supernatural.
Out of the 10 people that were surveyed 8 answered, for question 5, that they wouldn't wait for DVD release and that they would just go and watch it at the cinema. Advertising is key to getting the audience in and to recognise it at the cinema and box office.
The most common way of people finding out about the movie was voted social media. As a company we have a twitter page and these means that our fans can connect with us personally and we can keep them informed of the production and release of our movies.
For question 7 we asked who people would go see a film with and majority said with friends. Word of mouth could be useful here as then they would go tell family members and other friends the feedback of the film.
