Main Character- Heather Pearson

Our main character is seen wearing a PJ top and leggings which shows she is going to bed and ready to sleep. She is most venerable when in the dark and by her sleeping shows she is alone. The white connotes purity and peace and innocence as she is heading for a life of university. But as we discover her life is turning black and dark very fast. The black leggings connote darkness coming into her life and as half her outfit is white and half is black we see she is still pure... for now.

Younger Heather- Alex Tulip

Alex is seen in this shot wearing a black dress as she is playing with the doll. This dark colour could imply that by her feeling and touching the doll she is being secretly haunted by a dark spirit  and is turning her soul black. Darkness is present inside a very a stereotypical girly room with no signs of danger around. The sister is seen wearing a very colourful flowery dress which shows there is only one sister that is being haunted and being made evil.
The doll in this shot is seen wearing a 'hello Kitty' t-shirt and jeans. This is very 'normal' clothing that doesn't show any signs of evil. The 'Hello Kitty' t shirt shows the dolls target market is younger girls that enjoy conventional, typical toys for little girls. ' Hello Kitty' was bought to shops in 1974 which is only 40 years for the brand, which implies that the spirit inside the doll has latched onto this item only for a short length of time.
