We have a lot of sounds which reflect the genre of horror we are in the process of making. we used numerous sound websites to get the appropriate sounds for our movie including, Youtube, iTunes sounds and incompetech.
Incompetech
for whenever the doll is shown on screen the sound from incompetech is played. This is an eery sound scape that sets the dark mood of the scene. the doll is meant to signify happiness especially with the little girls but with the 'evening of chaos' playing in the background it sets the mood to be dark and is also a big enigma code for the audience as we are left to wonder what this doll is going to do.

From youtube we used the sound effects of the screams, giggles and the banging of the door. With our camera we had sound problems therefore we had to use the sounds we would of made from our actors by getting them from the internet. We added the child's giggle at the end to signify that the doll is still making children happy even though it is now apparent the doll is infact haunted. The screams are meant to be Heather finally being physically tourtured by the doll not just mentally anymore. the knocks of the door awake Heather and the first time we set the volume quite low but the second one we really wanted it to make an impact on our audience so they feel sympathy for heather to be in that situation. The door sound effect is actually a man 'crawling through a vent' but sounds the same as a bang on a door in the scene.
